Wang Shuo (anusman) is a cartoonist, comic artist, and scholar of comics theory.

Born in Liaoning Province, China, in 1984, Wang received his BFA in Printmaking from the Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University, in 2007. He graduated in 2012 from the Comics Department of the European School of Visual Arts in Angoulême, France, and earned a PhD in Design Studies from the School of Design at the Central Academy of Fine Arts in 2017.

His recent solo exhibitions include Walnut Pastry — Three Years of anusman at Tabula Rasa Gallery (Beijing, 2025); Chest Murmurs at Tabula Rasa Gallery (Beijing, 2022); Marketplace — One Year of anusman at Tabula Rasa Gallery (Beijing, 2019); The Joy of Ink at WKLY (Shanghai, 2017); and Visual Illiteracy at Tabula Rasa Gallery (Beijing, 2017).

His works have been collected by institutions including the Comics Museum of Angoulême, France, as well as other museums and public collections internationally.
